Foundations of Formation
Whole Heart Academy exists to form the whole child, at all stages of growth, by nurturing the whole heart. Our approach to education is intentionally relational, experiential, and faith-centered, recognizing that true formation flows from a child’s relationship with God and is expressed through how they think, learn, and live.
Formation Through Relationship
Our Approach to Education
Central to our formation philosophy is teaching students their true identity in Christ. Children are guided to understand what it means to be made in the image of God and how that identity shapes the way they view themselves, others, and the world. Because we are image bearers of a relational God, identity is not discovered in isolation but within relationship—with Him and with one another.
Education, therefore, becomes deeply relational. God has uniquely gifted each individual, and it is our responsibility to seek Him in order to recognize those gifts and steward them for His glory. As students grow in meaningful relationships with peers, teachers, and ultimately with God, they begin to discover who they are and how they were created to contribute. Listening, understanding, and learning to see from differing perspectives become part of their spiritual formation.
As trust deepens and relationships mature, God’s gifts become more evident in each child. This relational understanding allows the teacher to guide students into individualized learning experiences that honor their strengths, support their growth, and encourage them toward their God-given potential. Rather than shaping children according to a single mold, we seek to nurture who God is already forming them to be.
At Whole Heart Academy, learning is not transactional—it is personal. When children are known, loved, and grounded in their identity as image bearers of God, they are free to grow in confidence, humility, curiosity, and faithful obedience to His leading.
Whole Heart Academy follows a relational, two-part learning model grounded in the belief that education is both formational and experiential.

Learning at Whole Heart Academy is designed to be purposeful and deeply connected to God’s presence in everyday life.
We offer a carefully designed enrichment program that complements and enhances the education parents are providing at home. Rather than replacing the family's role, our program comes alongside it—supporting, extending, and enriching each child’s academic and spiritual growth. Second, we focus on formation: developing not only the mind but also the heart and hands. We believe education should shape who a child is becoming, not merely what they know. Our goal is to cultivate hearts that love God, minds that seek truth, and hands that joyfully live out faith through service and stewardship.
